Tokyo
As he pulled out his desk chair, Alex looked grumpily at his watch. Twenty to fucking seven in the morning. He had been woken from deep sleep in the middle of the night by Ted Manning and told he had been scheduled for a business meeting at seven o'clock sharp with a Mr. Koji Tatsumi. He was to use the "B" conference room.
Alex knew the "B" conference room was for meetings where tight security was essential. It was windowless, soundproof and swept regularly for bugs. It also had the secure phone line used for conveying classified information. Alex was too tired to feel much curiosity about what was going on. He supposed it must be something to do with the upcoming trade negotiations, for which most of the plans being made were secret and that the meeting had been scheduled for the convenience of Langley and not Tokyo.
