After dinner, Itoh turned to his wife.

"Would you please bring tea to Michiko and me in the study?"

Itoh remained silent until after he and Michiko were served. P>"You have been very patient. I wanted to let you know what I have been able to discover."

Itoh took out a key from his pocket, unlocked a door in his desk and removed a folder. He handed Michiko a piece of paper.

"In his letter to me, your uncle enclosed this list."
