Tokyo
"Coming, coming."
The telephone interrupted Logan while he was shaving. While Hasan took off to visit some of his former banking cronies and Bill went over to the Monteverde embassy, Logan was going to see the head of the Japanese operations of one of Grey, Alcott's corporate clients. The three were then to meet back at the hotel at six o'clock for dinner and a final briefing with Mac.
It was the client's office, explaining apologetically that the manager had been called away on an emergency to Viet Nam, where the company was setting up a manufacturing facility. This left Logan with a free day. He had a leisurely breakfast, read the Wall Street Journal and the Herald Tribune, then decided he would try his luck.
