Tokyo

Koji walked into the Akasaka district bar where he had arranged to meet Watanabe. As Koji's eyes adjusted to the dim light, he spied his informant sitting at the end of the bar, slumped over a drink. Koji casually walked over and slid onto the stool beside him.

Watanabe was drunk. His eyes were puffy and his clothes, usually immaculate, were disheveled. Koji ordered a beer, despite the hostess' disappointment, and glanced at his agent. Watanabe was mumbling to himself. Koji, who was beginning to wonder if the man even knew he was there, was startled when Tadashi suddenly turned towards him and grabbed the lapels of his jacket.

"They fired me!"

Watanabe began to sob pitifully.
