Danny had come over to Michiko's to spend a final evening with her. The next morning the movers were arriving and, early in the afternoon, Michiko and Noriko would board a plane for Tokyo.

At Michiko's request, they ordered a pizza with "the works" and, while waiting for the delivery, made love. Halfway through consuming the huge pie, Michiko's flicking a piece of pepperoni at Danny led to their having sex again, on top of the table. Then, after Danny insisted on eating the coffee Häagen Dazs with fudge sauce meant for dessert from Michiko's navel, they showered together, coupling under the steaming water.

Afterwards, Danny and Michiko cuddled on the sofa and he played with her long, silky hair.

"By the way, I gave my friend Tony a copy of your certificate. He didn't recognize it but said he'd check and give me an answer by Thursday. I'll let you know if he comes up with anything."

"Okay. Good. It will give you a reason to call. I want us to stay in touch."

"Yeah. The certificates, the stuff from your uncle, they're all right? The robber didn't find them?"
