So what's wrong with this picture, Mrs. Miller? How come the guys that won the war are losing? Losing jobs. Losing their standard of living. Losing the choice over what appliances are in their homes and what cars sit in their driveways.

And what would Tom and Ed and Pete say, when they'd look around. Would they say, "We sacrificed our lives, for this?"

And what would we reply? Would we say, "Tom, Ed, Pete, we know you gave your lives to help us win that war. But later on, there was another war, against Mitsubishi and Toshiba and Panasonic and Nintendo, a war that they won without having to fire a single bullet."

Can we look them in the eye and say that? Can we look ourselves in the eye, so long as this is true?
